Thoughts on Cricket News?
Full Story Click Here
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is cashed up like few other world sporting organisations. Unlike Australia, its revenues are not shared on the same basis with its players, leaving it with a bank balance some believe now reaches into the billions. But that could change with players in demand, such as Sachin Tendulkar, predicted to earn upwards of $40 million through the new competition. "We've been playing India for 60 years but we hardly ever played them until they got rich," concedes one Australian intimately familiar with cricket's power shift in recent years. "India has more than a billion people. It has a huge television audience, an extraordinary one. But not only is it enormous, there is a very large percentage of that audience who want to watch cricket. "India now accounts for 70 per cent of global cricket revenue. Everyone wants to play India, everyone wants them to visit because the TV revenue implications are incredibly lucrative. "And so how does the saying go? 'He who owns the gold, makes the rules'."

| As we saw in India last year, these young guys can do a good job in international level. There is also experience in the form of Sachin (Tendulkar) and (Virender) Sehwag, Yuvraj (Singh) and (Gautam) Gambhir. We would see these younger players shine at different times right through this series. Hope tri-series againest Australian will be ours....

| Your right, It was a Pathetic Show by T20 World Champs India in Today’s match. I just cannot believe how the World Champs play so pathetically. It was clear the moment Sehwag was runout that we will have a total downfall and it happened as expected. Indians never want to play with their reputation. It was all started from the selection of playing eleven
